The Cariboo Regional District (CRD) has confirmed the official candidates for the 2026 General Local Election.

Eligible electors in seven Electoral Areas will have the opportunity to vote, with advance voting on October 7 and 13 and General Voting Day on October 17, 2026. In the remaining five Electoral Areas, the sole candidates will be elected by acclamation, and no voting will be required.

Electoral Areas holding elections

Eligible electors in the following Electoral Areas will have the opportunity to vote:

• Electoral Area B – Quesnel West/Bouchie Lake

• Electoral Area C – Bowron Lake/Barlow Creek/Barkerville

• Electoral Area E – South Lakeside/Dog Creek

• Electoral Area G – Lac La Hache/108 Mile House

• Electoral Area H – Canim Lake/Forest Grove

• Electoral Area K – East Chilcotin

• Electoral Area L – Lone Butte/Interlakes

Advance Voting: Wednesday, October 7 and Tuesday, October 13, 2026.

General Voting Day: Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Electoral Areas with candidates elected by acclamation

The sole candidates in the following Electoral Areas will be elected by acclamation. No voting will be required in these Electoral Areas.

• Electoral Area D – Fox Mountain/McLeese Lake: Steve Forseth

• Electoral Area F – 150 Mile House/Horsefly: Maureen LeBourdais

• Electoral Area I – West Fraser/Nazko: Jim Glassford

• Electoral Area J – West Chilcotin: Tolin Pare
